Aquatic-Hobbyist disease index
sick loachie Diagnosing and treating illness and disease in our fish is a very traumatic time not only for our fish, but also for us the fishkeepers. With that in mind Aquatic-Hobbyist has put together these disease profiles to assist in the correct diagnosis and treatment of ailments that affect our fish. In an ideal world we would never to have to worry about illness and disease, but disease in our fish is a very real problem, and one aquarists must deal with themselves. It's unheard of for people to have to diagnose and treat a pet dog or pet cat, but our fish sadly don't get the same consideration as most veterinarians will not treat fish. It is therefore essential to have a resource to be able to turn to not only quickly diagnose the problem, but to offer the correct remedy to cure the problem. New disease profiles will be continuously added to this list, but if the particular disease or illness isn't mentioned please join the forum and ask. If you see anything you disagree with within these articles please drop into the forum and let us know. Or send an email to admin@aquatic-hobbyist.com
